Recep Pub — Restaurant & Café Design
Concept and interior design for a practical, fast-service bistro and café-restaurant in Bostancı, Istanbul.
Recep Pub is a bistro-restaurant project in Bostancı designed around fast-paced service. The interior and garden follow one design language, with geometric flooring, stone-clad columns, greenery around the ceiling lights and a circular entrance framed by palm trees. ARCOS Mimarlık prepared and handed over the concept, layouts and detailed drawings to the client; construction was outside its scope. The images shown are 3D design renderings.
Design Approach
In café and restaurant design, the operational flow comes first. Service routes were kept short and seating was proportioned to maintain a calm atmosphere even during busy periods. A circular entrance and palm trees give the garden a recognisable frontage, while timber, stone and greenery create warmth inside. Separate lighting schemes were considered for daytime and evening use. Furniture was selected for durability, easy cleaning and proportions suitable for a bistro.
